Effect of Using Waste Iron Powder As Filler on Asphalt Mixture Properties

چکیده
The reuse of industrial waste in all areas life, including the construction roads, has recently become popular. type used roads may vary between plastic waste, chemical iron manufacturing (steel slag or fillings), reclaimed asphalt pavements… etc. This research is performed to study effect using Iron Waste Powder (IWP) mixtures as a portion mineral filler (limestone dust). Four models with different percentages were examined by Marshall Test determine this additive on mixture properties and these contents, namely; 25%, 50%, 75% 100% replacement weight filler. results show that 50% will improve stability flow, where are increased about 24% flow also 18% compared reference mixture.

Investigating the Effect of Using Cross-Linked Polyethylene Waste as Fine Aggregate on Mechanical Properties of Hot Mix Asphalt
Cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) is an appropriate insulating material for high-voltage cables which has been widely used as electrical cable coating. In this study, Crushed XLPE wastes with different volume percentages (25, 50, and 75%) were used in hot mix asphalt (HMA) as a substitute for fine aggregates remained on sieve no. 8 whose size varies from 1.18 to 2.36 mm. The dynamic stiffness (i...

Effect of Fibers on Mixture Design of Stone Matrix Asphalt
Lignin fibers typically influence the mixture performance of stone matrix asphalt (SMA), such as strength, stability, durability, noise level, rutting resistance, fatigue life, and water sensitivity. However, limited studies were conducted to analyze the influence of fibers on the percent voids in mineral aggregate in bituminous mixture (VMA) during the mixture design. This study analyzed the e...
متن کاملLaboratory Studies of the Effect of Recycled Glass Powder Additive on the Properties of Polymer Modified Asphalt Binders
In this paper, the effect of adding recycled glass powder (RGP) as a third component in polymer modified bitumen is studied. RGP and styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) is added to the base bitumen in order to prepare modified binders and mixtures. The initial study is performed to determine physical properties of unmodified, SBR modified and RGP-SBR modified asphalt binders which prove RGP's compat...
متن کاملIdentification Effect of Nanoclay on Engineering Properties of Asphalt Mixtures
Nanoclays are new generation of processed clays of interest in a wide range of high performance composites. In other words, nanoclay is defined as a clay that can be modified to make the clay complexes compatible with organic monomers and polymers. Here, it can be said that the polymeric nanocomposites are among the most exciting and promising classes of materials discovered recently. A number ...
